HOW TO GET THERE

IF COMING FROM ABROAD

We recommend flying to Geneva and taking a train to Lausanne. Trains are frequent and take approximately 50 minutes from Geneva Airport to Lausanne.You can buy a train ticket at the station or pre-book them via SBB website

You can also fly to Zurich and take a train to Lausanne, which takes approximately 2.5 hours.

VISA INFORMATION

Participants are responsible for arranging their own visa to enter Switzerland. If needed, please contact the Swiss Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

 Important: Due to high demand for travel within the Schengen area, we strongly recommend beginning your visa application as early as possible.
FROM LAUSANNE STATION
By Public Transport
Take the Metro M2 to the 'Croisettes' stop, then
1) EHL South gate: Bus 64 or Postal bus 435, 362 or 360 to the <Vert-bois/EHL> stop (every 9min). Timetable is available via the TL website.
2) EHL North gate: Bus 45 to the <Cojonnex/EHL> stop (every 15min). Timetables are available via PostBus website. 
Lausanne Transport Card (LTC)
Ask for this from your hotel at check in. This card offers you access to free public transport (bus, train, metro) during your stay in Lausanne . You can also benefit from discounts to museums and shops.

By Taxi
Taxis are available outside Lausanne Gare. A taxi ride to EHL takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. 
By Car
Parking available during the event for free of charge.

Please note that the currency in Switzerland is the Swiss Franc, usually indicated as CHF. Credit cards are accepted in most places.
* All EHL (event venue) campus payments are cashless (all credit cards accepted, including Amex).

Electricity
Please note that the electrical sockets (outlets) in Switzerland use type J plugs. The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz. Type J plugs have three round pins. You may need a specific adapter for your devices.
